We are seeking a skilled Classic Car Technician to become a vital part of our clients industry leading Classic Car Restoration workshop team, working on some of the most esteemed classic cars in the industry. This is your chance to work in a respected environment that values expertise, stability, and passion for automotive restoration.
1. Hours: 7.30 - 4.30pm Monday - Friday ONLY - never work a weekend again!
2. Pay: Depending on skills and knowledge Up to £45,000 Basic
What You’ll Do:
3. Service and maintain classic vehicles with precision and care, following client specifications
4. Repair and replace faulty parts and components, ensuring originality and quality
5. Advise the Workshop Manager on necessary repairs and optimisations
6. Produce accurate time and cost estimates for restoration projects
7. Maintain meticulous repair and service records
8. Diagnose complex issues and implement effective solutions
9. Fabricate or repair parts, adhering to manufacturer standards
10. Test and validate systems post-repair to ensure optimal performance
Required Skills:
11. Proven experience in classic car repair and restoration, ideally with high-end or vintage vehicles
12. Strong diagnostic abilities and mechanical aptitude
13. Excellent knowledge of automotive systems, with a focus on vintage models
14. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
15. Detail-oriented with a passion for restoring cars to the highest standards
16. Good communication skills and the ability to follow precise instructions
Nice to Have Skills:
17. Knowledge of carburetors, fuel intake systems, and straight-six engines
18. Experience with vehicles the post-war period
19. Familiarity with large-scale restoration projects, spanning months or years
Preferred Education and Experience:
20. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in vehicle maintenance and restoration
21. Qualified to City and Guilds Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance or a related field
22. Valid UK driving licence and own set of tools
Other Requirements:
23. Ability to work Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm
24. A genuine enthusiasm for classic cars and restoration craftsmanship
25. No specific travel requirements; immediate start preferred
