Offer description

Main responsibilities of the job:

* Maintain effective facilities, health and safety, and sustainability standards in our Leeds office.
* Manage local office stock including fruit, milk, office stationery.
* Call handling for calls to UK switchboard.
* Supporting with meeting room arrangements.
* Build and maintain effective relationships with building management services and office suppliers by resolving issues and escalating as needed.
* Maintain office compliance programme in respect of health, safety and environmental management (in alignment with operational arrangements ISO 45001 and ISO 14001).
* Conduct new starter inductions and office tours.
* First aider and fire warden.
* Staff Forum member and ESG champion, joining our global network of employee representatives.
* Work closely with Regional Office Manager providing support and cover as needed
* Provide ad-hoc business administration support.
* Coordinate with UK Office Managers on health and safety training coordination.
* Work across UK Facilities HSE Team on delivery of any joint projects, for example office moves, refurbishments, facilities, health, safety and sustainability improvements.

Complete finance tasks relating to maintaining facilities services including raising purchase orders, supplier set up and approvals, logging of office related expenses.

Requirements


Experience/skills required:

* Excellent communication skills
* Previous experience in Facilities / Office support role
* Basic knowledge of office health and safety requirements
* Proficient in all relevant Microsoft applications (Teams, Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)

Key skills:

* Good communicator, confident communicating with a range of people across the organisation
* Friendly, positive and professional outlook
* Able to work on own initiative or as a team player
* Proactive with excellent organisation and prioritisation skills

Compensation

Steer is committed to ensuring that all its employees are compensated a fair, liveable wage. All initial compensation, regardless of location, may be subject to change as skills, abilities, internal equity and geographic location are taken into account.

In addition to base salary, all employees will be eligible for an annual discretionary performance bonus. Please review the benefits section for more information on total reward.

Steer reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional compensation.

Work Environment

All Steer employees seeking a full-time opportunity are encouraged to spend 40% of their time either in office or on-site with clients. An employee’s typical work week consists of 40 hours (Hours, expectations, and exemption status will be adjusted for any applicant seeking a part-time opportunity.)
