PE Global is currently recruiting for a Laboratory Test Technician for a leading multi-national manufacturing client based in Skelmersdale. This is an initial 6 month contract position. Pay rate: £18/h 37.5H/WEEK - Day shift Location: Skelmersdale Plant ***Please note our client cannot assist with any visa sponsorship and candidates must have the correct visa to live and work in UK*** Duties of the role/Responsibilities • Performing testing on Respiratory and Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) product to comply with EN Standards and aid in the development of those products through testing. • Completing development, qualification, pre-compliance and audit testing, supporting current and future certifications of respiratory protection products. • Understanding test methods and updating documentation when/if required. • Liaising with other Test Laboratories to establish procedures and test methods for continuous improvement opportunities. • Supporting test equipment calibration as per schedule and support safety audits and risk assessments. • Managing consumables for test equipment. • Working collaboratively within the R&D organization and closely with the product engineers, product developers, certification and compliance teams. • Supporting the Quality management system to support current certifications and accreditation of the R&D laboratory.
