Role Summary
Retail Security Officer – responsible for visible deterrence, incident response, reporting and collaboration with local authorities within the store. Required to provide a safe environment for customers and employees.
Responsibilities
* Patrol the shop floor and deter criminal activity.
* Assess and identify vulnerabilities, proactively minimising risk.
* Liaise with management and local authorities when required.
* Manage vulnerable persons with empathy and avoid distress.
* Complete colleague and contractor searches as per policy.
* Use digital devices to report incidents and plan daily activities.
* Provide detailed and legible incident reports to the client and local authorities.
Location
Dundee (DD3 9HU)
Hours and Shift Pattern
27 hours per week with overtime opportunities.
Shift Pattern: Monday, Thursday, Saturday.
Salary
£12.60 per hour.
Required Experience & Qualification
Valid SIA Guarding or SIA Door Supervisor licence. Prior experience in a Retail Security Role is an advantage but not essential; full training will be provided. Applicants must provide a 5‑year verifiable work history and proof of address.
