Job Description
Interim Financial Controller Sheffield Hybrid 3/2 £70,000 FTC - 12 Months Elevation Recruitment Group are working exclusively with a leading manufacturing business based in Sheffield to recruit an Interim Financial Controller.
This is a pivotal role within the business, offering the opportunity to lead the finance function during a critical period. The successful candidate will take full ownership of the finance team and play a key role in supporting operational performance and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the production of accurate and timely monthly management accounts
* Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
* Manage cost accounting processes, including standard costing and variance analysis
* Take responsibility for stock valuation across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
* Maintain the fixed asset register and provide capex reporting
* Partner closely with operations, supply chain, and commercial teams to drive performance
* Support ERP system improvements and finance process automation
* Ensure robust financial controls, compliance, and audit readiness
* Provide clear, actionable financial insight to senior management
This role requires a hands-on, commercially focused finance professional with strong manufacturing experience. The ideal candidate will be immediately available or on a short notice period.
Key Skills:
* Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
* Strong experience in a manufacturing environment (min. 3 years)
* Solid cost accounting and stock control knowledge
* Proficient in Excel and ERP systems
Commercially focused, hands-on, and detail-oriented
