Founding Engineer - FounderCrush
Pre-seed · Sweat equity · UK remote
This isn't a job. It's a build.
I'm building something I wish I had 20 years ago.
FounderCrush is an AI co-founder that takes founders from idea to fully operational business. Whether they're just starting out, or already running something and drowning in the operational side.
Most founders don't fail because of their idea. They fail because everything around it slows them down.
That's the problem we're solving.
The MVP is live. It works. Now we need to make it something founders rely on.
The role
* You'll be the first engineer alongside our CTO.
* The CTO leads architecture and direction. You own execution and momentum.
* No ticket factory.
* You take what exists and make it faster, smarter, cleaner. You ship features that real founders use, within days. You work across the full stack with real ownership.
The stack
* Next.js, TypeScript, Postgres, heavy LLM and agent workflows.
If you've worked in this space, you already know, and things break in weird ways. Outputs aren't deterministic. Debugging is half the game.
Who this is for
* You've shipped real software to real users. You've worked with modern stacks, TypeScript, APIs, databases. You've built with LLMs or agents. You've handled real-world API issues.
* You think clearly when things break. You debug properly, not guess. You understand the code you write, with or without AI tools. You're honest about what you don't know.
* Bonus if you've touched agent frameworks (LangGraph, Mastra), eval systems, or workflow-heavy products.
Who this is NOT for
You need a salary right now. You want slow and structured. You rely on AI to write code you can't debug.
You'd rather advise than build.
This is hands-on, fast paced, improvised, and you need to be available.
The deal
* Equity: meaningful options, 4-year vest, 1-year cliff, done properly with lawyers.
* Cash: none right now. Converts to market salary post-raise.
You'll always get transparency from us.
Why this is worth your time
MVP is live. Real users from startup networks and from across different industries.. Large, real problem space. Clear distribution. You'll be shaping the product from day one.
This isn't \"build and hope.\" This is \"help scale something already moving.\"
Process
Intro call with the CTO. Real technical conversation, no whiteboard theatre. A small trial task. Quick decision.
We respond to everyone within a week.
How to apply
Tell us why this specifically. Show us something you've built, especially LLM or agent work. Include your GitHub.
We're building the operating layer for starting and running a company.
If that's your kind of problem, come build it with us.
