Yolk Recruitment are working with a growing insurance services business in the heart of Cardiff that supports both UK and international insurance providers. The team delivers a wide range of services including claims handling, customer service, underwriting, and pricing - all with a strong focus on data, innovation and continuous improvement.
Right now, they're looking for a Travel Claims Handler to join the team. It's a hybrid role with 2-3 days in the Cardiff office and the rest working from home. You'll be responsible for managing travel insurance claims from start to finish, providing a high standard of service to customers travelling both within the UK and abroad.

What you'll be doing:
1. Managing and assessing travel insurance claims, including checking liability, cover and settlement.
2. Identifying potential fraud or opportunities for recovery.
3. Maintaining a proactive approach to managing your caseload.
4. Negotiating fair outcomes with customers and third parties.
5. Delivering an excellent customer experience throughout the claims journey.
6. Suggesting ideas to improve how the claims team works.
7. Ensuring quality and compliance standards are consistently met.
What we're looking for:
8. Recent graduate looking a new challenge
9. Previous experience in travel insurance claims is ideal - but not essential.
10. Confident communicator who can build rapport with customers and third parties.
11. Comfortable using data to spot trends and make informed decisions.
12. Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
13. Organised and able to meet daily and weekly targets.
