Description Grade UE05: £29,588 - £33,951 per annum pro-rata as part-time College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine/School of Neurological and Cardiovascular Sciences/Institute for Neuroscience and Cardiovascular Research Part-time: 21 hours per week Fixed-term: for 6 months The Opportunity: This exciting opportunity involves assisting in several projects including basic science, translational projects and clinical studies in Type 1 diabetes. The successful candidate will work with an experienced and supportive research team at the University of Edinburgh and NHS Lothian on site at Little France. With regular meetings with the PI and members of the research group, the post holder will gain valuable expertise in the field of diabetes research. They will assist the PI and research group in the co-ordination and organisation of lab and clinical studies and in the production of reports. They will also assist with the administrative and organisational aspects of research including meetings and conferences. Your skills and attributes for success: Ability to work in a team and communicate ideas effectively in writing or verbally. Ability to think autonomously and work flexibly across projects. Ability to prioritise and manage workload accordingly. Experienced using MS packages such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook (email and calendar). Personable with excellent organisational skills. This post is part-time (max 21 hours per week) and 100% on campus.
