This planoutlines the role and responsibilities of a part time (15 hours per week)clinical psychologist role with primary responsibility for supporting the IDstream on the Oxford Clinical Psychology training course.
The OxfordClinical Psychology Training Course employs 156 trainee clinicalpsychologists. Each trainee completes a6-month placement and an Integrated Clinical Report in NHS IntellectualDisability Services and receives training in working clinically with peoplewith intellectual disabilities throughout the second year of theirtraining. This role will support the IDlead in coordinating aspects of the stream.
Main duties of the job
Attendmeetings with the academic team when required to support with planning andcoordinating the ID timetable.
Supportwith reviewing the teaching feedback for all sessions in the ID stream throughoutthe year and send out to presenters.Feedideas for changes to syllabus to academic team.
Knowledge of the theory, evidence base and practice of specialisedpsychological assessments and interventions for people with intellectual disabilities.
Ability to use initiative to plan and organise activities andprogrammes, requiring adjustment as necessary.
Attendweekly 1 hour supervision and line management meeting with ID stream lead. All tasks to be supervised and supported byID stream lead.

Person Specification
Experience
* To be working co-currently in a learning disability service with people with intellectual disabilities.
Qualifications
* Registered and accredited with Health Care Professional Council (HCPC) as a Practitioner Psychologist.
* Post graduate doctoral qualification in clinical or counselling psychology.
