Rate of Pay: £16.62 - £21.75 per hour
Summary:
Flintshire County Council is seeking a time-served, fully qualified Electrician to join the technical team. You will be responsible for delivering a high standard of electrical work within both tenanted and void domestic properties, ensuring all installations are safe and compliant. This role requires a candidate with a broad knowledge base, specifically experienced in the social housing sector, who can independently manage complex diagnostics and repairs, including central heating systems.
Responsibilities:
* Carry out a wide range of electrical tasks, including full rewiring and general repairs in domestic properties.
* Ensure all works meet NICEIC rules and IEE electrical wiring regulations (BS:7671 - 18th Edition).
* Maintain a high standard of work in both occupied (tenanted) and empty (void) properties, ensuring they are left in a clean and safe condition.
* Adhere strictly to safe isolation procedures and all relevant health and safety legislation.
* Promptly complete and submit all required technical paperwork, such as job sheets and test certificates, to support financial monitoring
Qualification
* Time-served and fully qualified Electrician
* City and Guilds 236 parts 1 & 2 (or equivalent) and current 18th Edition BS:7671.
Essentials:
* Proven track record of working within social housing or a domestic maintenance environment.
* Advanced diagnostic and fault-finding skills in domestic settings.
* A full UK driving license is required for travel across the Council's property portfolio.
