SEN Teaching Assistant - Havering School - Immediate Start
An exciting opportunity to work as part of a team supporting KS2 students in a dynamic specialist SEN unit. For the SEN Teaching Assistant role experience and knowledge working with a range of Learning Difficulties i.e Autism, ADHD, SEMH and Non-Verbal would ideally be essential.
Monday to Friday - 8.30am - 3.30pm with a break.

SEN Teaching Assistant Duties & Qualification:
* To check and prepare your duties and resources for the day before students arrive.
* Attend staff de-briefing meetings as necessary
* To be aware of routines and safeguarding guidance
* To support the students with their learning and daily routines
* Experience, knowledge and skills to work with SEN students.
* To have an understanding of working with non-verbal students and strategies to develop this area of SEND.
* To have an understanding of PEC's, Makaton, Flash Cards and Attention Autism.
* To assist with the student’s personal care as and if needed
* Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, Care, SEND or Psychology qualification.
