About the Role
As a Waking Night Care Assistant at Lion Oak Court, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of residents overnight. You will work as part of a dedicated on-site team providing reassurance, responding to emergencies, and delivering planned care throughout the night.
Your role will focus on maintaining a calm and supportive environment, carrying out regular welfare checks, and being there when residents need you most.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality personal care with dignity and respect during the night
* Carry out regular welfare checks to ensure resident safety and wellbeing
* Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide reassurance
* Support residents with mobility, toileting, and repositioning overnight
* Administer or assist with medication where required
* Maintain accurate records and complete night reports
* Promote independence and person-centred care
* Follow health & safety procedures, including moving and handling
* Work as part of a team to ensure safe, effective overnight care
These responsibilities reflect standard Extra Care night duties, supporting residents in a safe, secure, and supported living environment.
What Were Looking For

* Ability to work independently and stay alert during night shifts
* Passion for helping others and making a difference
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Willingness to learn (full training provided)
* Previous care experience is desirable but not essential
* Right to Work: You must have the right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
* Availability to work waking night shifts, including alternate weekends
* Good English communication skills
