Insider Media, the UK s leading regional business media company, is recruiting a senior research executive to underpin its market-leading business coverage. A well-respected and highly trusted name, Insider produces six regional business magazines read by more than 200,000 company directors and business owners. It stages more than 185 events throughout the year, while its online newsletter subscriber base is more than 120,000 across the UK and continues to grow in every region. Supporting the editorial team, the role will include conducting research and compiling high quality, accurate and informative content for our business magazines and digital channels. This content includes, but is not limited to, compiling ranking lists of business such as Insider s Top 500; compiling regular tables tracking UK mergers and acquisitions activity and collating UK regional and sub-regional economic statistics. In addition, the Senior Research Executive compiles company contact circulation lists for magazine free trials; curates email marketing data to fit client specifications; and works to maintain the strength of Insider s newsletter subscription lists and delivery rates. The successful candidate will demonstrate proven experience in a similar role. Essential knowledge, skills and experience: A good understanding of company accounts and an awareness of company structures, as well as different company types and their different accounting requirements. Familiar with UK companies financial data sources such as Fame or Experian MIQ and sources of UK company deals data. Excellent digital literacy including proficiency in software such as email marketing systems (Adestra), Microsoft Excel and Access; programming skills desirable. Excellent ability to prioritise tasks and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines. High accuracy and a good attention to detail to produce reliable data for tables and charts set to the house style for publication. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Educated to degree level, ideally a business-related qualification.
