What you'll be doing
* Supervise day-to-day running of the waste transfer station, ensuring full compliance with health & safety, environmental standards, and SUEZ policies.
* Manage and deploy staff and resources efficiently, while providing clear leadership and support to the team.
* Monitor operations, supervise personnel, mobile plant and fixed plant, and drive continuous improvements in quality and efficiency.
* Handle monthly payroll hours, maintain budgetary control, and order equipment and resources as needed.
* Promote a positive safety culture and ensure all activities meet required health & safety legislation.
What we're looking for
* Demonstrable passion for recycling coupled with strong communication and people skills.
* Experience supervising and developing engaged teams to deliver high operational standards.
* IOSH Managing Safely qualification (or willingness to work towards it).
* Broad knowledge of plant equipment is desirable but not essential — full training will be provided.
