HAYLEY DEXIS are looking for an Office Apprentice to join our team within Strategic Contracts based at our offices in Oldbury.

HAYLEY DEXIS is the largest independent distributor of engineering products and consumables (hydraulics, bearings, fasteners, fluid power, PPE, tools, lubricants etc) in the UK. About the Office Apprentice opportunity

As an Apprentice in our Strategic Contracts Team, you'll gain hands on experience and insight into the full lifecycle of securing new business from creating winning strategies to creating compelling offers through bids and tenders.

This role is ideal for candidates who have an interest in business, you may have enjoyed business studies at school or picked this area as part of further education.

You will be contributing to bid and tender opportunities for new business, which demands a diverse skill set, strong writing ability, thorough research, creative problem-solving, and a keen eye for detail.

You'll also have the chance to learn about how to process orders and stock rotations when covering team absence / time off. Other opportunities for this role may involve learning about pricing work and creation of Management Information Reporting.

You'll have achieved a GCSE grade 4 (or above) or equivalent qualification in Maths and English to be at the right standard for this role.

Successful candidates will undertake a 1-year apprenticeship with HAYLEY DEXIS. Study and coursework hours will be offered within the working day. Candidates also usually have regular meetings and catch ups with the course provider within working hours as well.

Working hours

40 hours per week Monday to Friday

This is based on-site Monday to Friday.

* A keen interest in business / administrative duties
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths to L4 or above
* Able to travel to work and based locally.
* No prior experience required-just enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
* Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
* Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Logical thinking skills and keen attention to detail.
* Well presented and enthusiastic about building a career.
