Speech and Language Therapist
We are working with a fantastic college passionate about transforming lives through education. They support young people and adults with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities to achieve their aspirations and live as independently as possible.
We are now looking for a Speech and Language Therapist to join our dedicated and multidisciplinary team in the Kingston region.
About the Role
You will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse communication needs, including those with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs. Working collaboratively with teaching staff and therapists, you will deliver high‑quality, person‑centred interventions across both universal and specialist levels.
Key Responsibilities
* Assessing and supporting students' communication and swallowing needs
* Delivering individual and group therapy sessions
* Supporting the development of a 'total communication' environment
* Providing guidance, training and coaching to staff
* Contributing to multidisciplinary working within Integrated Services
About You
We are looking for a creative and passionate therapist who
* Holds a recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy
* Is HCPC registered
* Has experience (or strong interest) in working with people with learning disabilities and/or autism
* Is committed to person‑centred, functional, and innovative practiceEnjoys working collaboratively as part of a supportive team
