Job Summary and Mission:

* To support the restaurant manager in certain administrative duties including stock control, ordering, HR matters and opening / closing the restaurant.
* To create the Heavenly Desserts experience for our guests by providing courteous, prompt service, quality beverages and desserts, and maintaining a clean and comfortable restaurant environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Standing in for the restaurant manager in his absence.
* Taking customer orders, serving customers and providing excellent customer service.
* Work as part of a large team to create picture-perfect desserts and drinks from our extensive menu.
* To uphold the Heavenly Desserts premium service experience consistently for all our guests.
* Be a key holder
* Upholding compliance towards all health and safety, food safety guidelines, following policies and procedures and maintaining a spotlessly clean working environment.
* Must be available to work between the hours of 8:00am and 01:00am and have access to reliable transportation to get to and from central York. You will be required to do around 3 closing shifts per week depending on the rota, which is usually completed by 11:45pm-12am.
* A minimum of one-year assistant manager, supervisor or team leader is preferred within restaurants/catering/food handling, however, training will be provided to the right candidates
* Prepare, present & serve our desserts to the highest possible standard for each and every guest by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
* Build relationships with fellow team members of respect and courteous, and be a proud ambassador of Heavenly Desserts.
* Act with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promotes the culture and values of Heavenly Desserts.
* Anticipates guest and business needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues.
* Communicate information to the Manager so that the team can respond as necessary to create a premium environment during each shift.
* Presents oneself professionally, be well-groomed, ensure adherence to health and safety rules and quality store operations standards are met or exceeded.
