Leader Education is working in partnership with a SEN School based in Knutsford.
We are recruiting for an experienced Teaching Assistant to work in a specialist SEN school, providing educational support to students aged
You will have previous experience of working with students with SEMH and complex needs - social, emotional and mental health issues (previously known as BESD, SEBD & EBD) learning difficulties and challenging behaviours. Large majority of the pupils are diagnosed with autism.
behaviour management skills are key as well as patience, empathy and understanding.
The Job
* You will be required to provide either one to one support or small group support to learners with a variety of needs
* Comply with individual learning plans
* To take direction from the class teacher and help support
You
* You must be an experienced classroom support assistant with a good level of experience of working with students with SEMH and complex needs
* Be patient and resilient
* Be creative
* Make learning fun
* Excellent communication skills
* Have a therapeutic and holistic approach
* Team Teach trained would be advantageous, although training can be given.
This position is to start in September 2023, interviews are happening now.
