This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in a clinical laboratory setting, supporting the delivery of essential diagnostic services. The successful candidate will work as part of a dedicated team, ensuring the smooth and efficient handling of patient samples. What will your responsibilities be: The role involves receiving, labelling, and preparing patient samples for analysis, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring specimens are processed in line with laboratory protocols. The Medical Laboratory Assistant will assist Biomedical Scientists with routine tasks, manage sample storage and disposal, and help maintain a clean and safe working environment. Strong attention to detail, good organisational skills, and the ability to follow procedures are essential for this role. Qualifications and Experience: Previous experience working in a laboratory or healthcare setting (preferred) Good understanding of laboratory safety and hygiene practices Ability to handle biological samples with care and accuracy Strong communication and teamwork skills Basic IT skills and familiarity with laboratory information systems Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment How to apply?
