About the Role
We are supporting a high-growth, private equity-backed EV charging platform with the appointment of a Finance Director to support the next phase of scale-up and infrastructure rollout.
The business is investing heavily in expanding its charging network across the UK, with a significant live pipeline of new sites and substantial committed capital to support growth. Operating within a capital-intensive environment, the organisation is focused on scaling operational capability, strengthening commercial reporting, and supporting ongoing investment activity.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead financial planning, forecasting, and cash flow management across a rapidly scaling infrastructure platform
* Support ongoing fundraising, debt financing, and investor reporting activities
* Oversee long-term financial modelling, including project-level investment appraisal and network expansion analysis
* Partner with operational teams on capex deployment, site rollout performance, and commercial decision-making
* Develop board reporting and KPI frameworks to support strategic growth initiatives
* Strengthen financial controls, governance, and reporting processes as the business scales
* Support M&A, partnership, and strategic investment opportunities where required
* Lead and develop the finance function, supporting continued team growth and capability building
* Act as a key commercial partner to the executive leadership team and investors
Requirements
* ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
* Previous experience within the EV charging, energy infrastructure, mobility, or related sectors is essential
* Strong understanding of capex-heavy, asset-backed, or infrastructure-style business models
* Strong financial modelling and commercial finance capability
* Hands-on leadership style with the ability to operate effectively within a scaling environment
* Experience within private equity-backed or high-growth businesses is highly desirable
* Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage investors, lenders, and operational leadership teams
