Job Introduction
Our Area Manager will be responsible for new Business Development and managing key customer accounts. You will play a crucial role in the opening and operation of our new Groundforce Non Mechanical Plant business in Wigan. This position requires a balanced approach to driving sales growth and maintaining strong customer relationships. You will generate leads, nurture relationships, and drive sales through proactive activities.
This role is suitable for candidates with backgrounds in business development, customer service, or depot work. Training and support will be provided to help you develop a new customer base.
Key Responsibilities
* Generate leads by proactively reaching out to potential and existing customers via telesales and outreach strategies.
* Build and develop client relationships to understand their equipment needs.
* Promote our products and services to create sales opportunities and contribute to business success.
* Manage a portfolio of accounts to maximize revenue and profit.
* Regularly review performance with the General Manager to evaluate sales strategies.
* Engage in cold and warm calls.
* Proactively seek and develop new accounts to ensure a steady pipeline.
* Ensure high customer satisfaction by understanding needs, addressing concerns, and providing tailored solutions.
* Leverage sales experience to grow existing accounts, including demonstrating products on construction projects to enhance productivity and safety.
* Follow health and safety practices on our sites and customer sites.
* Provide holiday and sickness cover on the Hire Desk when needed.
