Overview
Support positive and productive stakeholder relationships with businesses in Medway, Maidstone and surrounding areas to generate new apprenticeship opportunities and support the ambitious growth of this provision within the College.
Responsibilities
* Proactively engage with local businesses to promote apprenticeships and training offers, supporting recruitment of new apprentices and trainees through pro‑active advertisement on the ‘find an apprenticeship’ service and talent matching from the existing pool of students.
* Liaise with the College curriculum and careers teams on development of a talent pool and sharing of open opportunities, including coordinating with the College applications team to identify potential apprentices for open opportunities.
* Provide employment/training opportunity information to students/applicants and support them to complete an effective application.
* Proactively promote and co‑ordinate employer recruitment events.
* Manage the apprenticeship matching service for employers and young people.
* Update the database of employer contacts and employer engagement activity.
* Provide accurate information, advice and guidance to the local business community on training/apprenticeship engagement, both funded and fee‑paying.
* Support employers and apprentices through the College enrolment process, ensuring all compliance measures and checks are met.
