Your Tasks
* Provide competent support, advice, and guidance on safety legislation and good practices to all levels of the business.
* Oversee incident and near miss investigations, providing the necessary input to ensure that the true root cause is identified and appropriate preventative action(s) are put in place.
* Plan and undertake safety process audits as per the established audit schedule
* Undertake and contribute to H&S projects
* Data evaluation and production of monthly and ad hoc reports.
* Travel to and support other EGGER sites within the Group, including occasional overnight stays as required.
* Write and review internal health and safety documentation.
* Coach other members of the H&S team.
* To represent the department and give competent advise and solutions regarding all CDM projects / activities.
* Plan, manage and interpret statutory compliance reports.
* Deputise for the Hexham Health and Safety Manager.
Our Requirements
* NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent qualification.
* Experience within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
* Demonstration of professional competence and development through providing evidence of continuing professional development.
* In-depth knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act and associated legislation and ACOPS.
* ISO 45001 Lead Auditor.
* Passionate about safety with the ability to communicate with all levels of the business.
* Ability to positively influence others.
* Intermediate standard of IT, including competent use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
