What you’ll do
As a Superflex Roadside Mechanic at RAC, you'll be a problem solver, a people person, and a proud ambassador for the RAC. Whether you're on a busy roadside or a quiet cul-de-sac, you're calm under pressure, quick to connect, and confident in your craft. You’ll manage your own kit, keep your van stocked, and handle your reports with precision. You’ll read situations, make the call on fixes, support each member, and keep everyone moving. Every call-out is a chance to showcase the RAC difference.
Schedule and benefits
* Competitive salary: GBP48,720 basic salary, with the opportunity to earn up to GBP54,000
* Weekly variety: You’ll work on average 40 hours per week across the year, with your roster seven days in advance and core hours confirmed three days prior.
* Shift pattern: Shifts between 06:00 and 02:00, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

What you’ll need
* A Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with demonstrative technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience
* A customer-focused approach
* A full UK driving licence
* Flexibility to work at relatively short notice and be open to travel with overnight stays, if necessary
