Alfreton Park School is a lively and successful special school for pupils aged 2 to 19 years, with severe and profound learning difficulties. Fixed-Term Opportunity
We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified, well‑organised, enthusiastic, and skilled Site and Premises Manager to join our team on a fixed‑term contract of approximately 9 months to cover long‑term staff leave. This post offers 25 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, working 11:00‑16:00. The role will be worked in a job share arrangement alongside our current Site Manager. This is a vital role at the heart of our school community, ensuring that our site remains a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.
As a key member of our operational team, you will take a proactive role in maintaining high standards of health, safety, and site management. Your contribution will directly support the smooth day‑to‑day running of the school and the wellbeing of everyone on site, making this a highly valued and rewarding position.
We are looking for someone who
* Has a strong sense of responsibility and takes pride in maintaining excellent standards of safety and presentation across the premises.
* Can work collaboratively and flexibly within a job share arrangement, ensuring effective communication with the existing Site & Premises Manager to maintain continuity and consistency.
* Possesses strong interpersonal and organisational skills, with the confidence to liaise effectively with staff, contractors, and external stakeholders.
* Is IT literate and able to manage systems and documentation relating to compliance and site management.
* Is proactive in responding to day‑to‑day maintenance needs, while also planning and supporting longer‑term site improvements.
