Further information about the school can be found at our website: www.castlehill.stockport.sch.uk Specific Duties Work collaboratively with the Pupil Support team to address the needs of pupils who require support with overcoming barriers to learning Build positive relationships with pupils and establish a safe and supportive environment Assisting pupils in developing social and emotional skills, promoting self-regulation and resilience Provide information and advice to enable pupils to make choices about their own learning/behaviour and the consequences for their actions/decisions Support pupils access to learning, using appropriate strategies, resources etc. Good literacy and ICT skills You will need Previous experience of working with young people with SEND Previous experience of working with young people who display challenging behaviour Understanding of behaviour regulation strategies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with pupils, parents and staff Empathy, patience and resilience to work effectively with pupils facing social, emotional and mental health challenges A commitment to promoting inclusion, diversity and equality in education To demonstrate confidence and adaptability The application forms and an information pack are available to download from here.
