Main duties of the job
You will have the opportunity to work alongside a range of highly skilled, multidisciplinary staff ranging from nurses, clinical support workers, doctors, psychologists, occupational therapists, pharmacists, activities coordinators and many more.
Youneed to be supportive and express the below listed qualities to provide the best care to our service users and their families:

* Be confident in talking with people and comfortable with supporting people from diverse range of backgrounds, sexual orientation, culture, religion.
* Have the ability to empathise without giving advice before speaking with your clinical team
* Have a non-judgmental attitude and be an active listener.
* Be perceptive to notice changes
* Be able to protect boundaries especially in distressing situations
* Have an awareness of and the ability to adhere to strict confidentiality rules
* Can commit to working shift patterns as per NSFT requirements (, reference to shift patterns below)

Person Specification
Experience
* Previous experience within the care sector
* Mental health experience
Qualifications
* Care Certificate - must be achieved within first 12 weeks of employment
* NVQ L2/3 H&SC or Diploma L2/3 in H&SC or apprenticeship L2/3 in H&SC
* VRQ L3 in mental health
Skills
* Respectful of service users individual needs and requirements within their own environment
Other
* Able to travel independently.
* Well-motivated with an interest in mental health issues.
