Youth Worker – Alternative Provision (Liverpool) A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a passionate and committed Youth Worker to join a dynamic Alternative Provision based in Liverpool. This setting supports students with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) who require a more personalised approach to their learning. The aim is to re-engage young learners, helping them build the confidence, skills, and resilience needed to successfully transition back into mainstream education or progress onto positive pathways. About the Role: Location: Liverpool Setting: Alternative Provision Focus: Supporting students with SEMH needs, SEN, and behavioural challenges Start Date: ASAP or September (depending on candidate availability) Key Responsibilities: Engage students through sports, creative activities, and 1:1 mentoring to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment. Build strong, trusting relationships and act as a positive role model. Encourage active student participation using adaptable and inclusive teaching strategies. Support students' emotional, social, and behavioural development through effective behaviour management techniques. Collaborate with teaching staff and pastoral teams to maintain a structured and nurturing setting. Person Specification: Background in youth work, mentoring, sports coaching, or a similar field. Previous experience working with young people with SEMH, SEN, or behavioural challenges. A confident, patient, and resilient approach with excellent relationship-building skills.
