One to One Study Skills Tutor Bucks New University Company description / Organisation / Department We are seeking a highly qualified and immediately available One to One Study Skills Tutor ASC to join our team and support students with Specific Learning Difficulties (SPLDs) and Autism. This is a crucial role within our student support department. Position description / Job description Develop and implement individualized learning plans for students. Guide students in effective time management and organizational strategies. Assess student progress and adapt learning plans as needed. Collaborate effectively with university staff and other support professionals. Utilize online teaching technologies and resources to enhance learning experiences. Create personalized learning materials and activities tailored to individual student needs. Provide tailored academic support, focusing on study skills and learning strategies. Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents/guardians (if applicable). Expectations / Requirements We're looking for you, if: You possess proven teaching experience with students exhibiting SPLDs and Autism. You hold a relevant teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent). You have experience supporting autistic students and a postgraduate qualification in a relevant field. You have completed the National Autistic Society (NAS) training modules (support provided if needed). You possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. You are a highly motivated and compassionate individual with a passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs.
