Your Role And Responsibilities

Suffolk County Council (SCC) delivers a 0-19 Healthy Child Service for the whole of Suffolk, which includes School Nursing, Health Visiting, Children's Centre services, Family Nurse Partnership and our Health Business Centre.

Children and Young People's Services (CYP) Community Health provides services for both prospective and existing parent/ carers, children and young people, focusing on the earliest point of intervention to enable the best outcomes for children.

As an Assistant Administration manager, you will play a crucial role in the maintenance and development of the database used to collate training information and provide robust administrative support to the Governance team.

On a typical day, you will:

* Collaborate with the Service: Working closely with the Governance team and Managers to convey training compliance information.
* Liaise with colleagues: Coordinate withWorkforce Development and Learning Development teams as well as individual colleagues and team managers to resolve issues and provide solution focused approaches
* Provide advice and guidance: Offer support to staff and managers when there are queries regarding training.
* Maintain focus and concentration: Given the detailed nature of the work, you will need to maintain a high level of concentration and focus to accurately process and review requirements
* Empowerment and decision-making: You will be empowered to make decisions independently, while also collaborating with team members for support and guidance
* Flexibility and resilience: The role offers flexibility to work across different areas, keeping the job fresh and interesting by not just focusing on one element


You will need

* experience of using Microsoft Excel for data input and analysis
* excellent concentration and focus
* strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to explain information clearly
* the ability to work independently and as part of a team
* a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.

The team

This role forms part of the CYP Community Health Governance Team within the wider delivery of the Healthy Child Programme.

CYP Community Health Governance team is a small, highly skilled group that works closely together.
