Job Description
* Overview
A well-established organisation in a confidential sector is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Direct Tax Advisor to join its finance team. Reporting to the Head of Tax, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing direct tax compliance and reporting for the UK and Irish group entities.
Key Responsibilities
The role includes, but is not limited to:
* Preparing UK and Irish corporation tax returns for review, including data collation from SAP and analysis of capital allowance information.
* Collaborating with non finance teams to prepare quarterly environmental returns and ensure timely payments.

* Preparing tax notes for statutory accounts in accordance with IFRS.
* Liaising with external auditors on corporation tax matters.
* Reconciling corporation tax accounts monthly and preparing relevant journal entries.
* Monitoring and reporting withholding tax transactions.
* Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of transfer pricing documentation.
* Supporting tax risk management and documentation across corporation tax, employment tax, and customs duties.
* Preparing monthly cashflow forecasts for tax-related expenditures and managing purchase order processes.
* Acting as a point of contact for corporation tax queries from internal stakeholders and HMRC.
* Providing ad hoc support to the tax team as required.
Candidate Profile
Essential:
* ATT qualified or qualified by experience.
* Demonstrable experience in a corporation tax role.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
* Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
* Experience with SAP and Alphatax.
* Knowledge of tax accounting, including deferred tax.
