As an Assistant Headteacher, you will provide strategic oversight and leadership across seven key areas: Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a clear, ambitious vision for the English Department that aligns with the school's overall educational goals. Curriculum Development: Oversee the planning, delivery, and assessment of an engaging and challenging English curriculum and literacy for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and support your team to foster a truly collaborative and innovative departmental culture. Teaching and Learning: Champion outstanding teaching and learning practices to ensure high standards and positive outcomes for all students. Data-Driven Improvement: Utilise assessment and data analysis to inform teaching strategies and drive continuous improvement. Resource Management: Effectively manage the department's budget and resources. Promote a Love of Literature: Fostering a genuine passion for reading, writing, and critical thinking amongst our students.
