Job Description
We're looking for an Engineering Manager to join our KierBam JV project at Hinkley Point C based in Bridgwater, Somerset. KierBam is a Joint Venture (JV) partnership between Kier and Bam Nuttall.
Location: Site based, Bridgwater, Somerset
Hours: Permanent, Full Time
What will you be responsible for?
As an Engineering Manager, you'll be working on one of UK's largest construction projects. You will report to the Project Director and be responsible for Engineering Management in Pre-construction and Project support.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
* Tenders and Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) - temporary works design and advice.
* Technical leadership in client contact and liaison; ECI; tender optioneering; design meetings; site teams' permanent and temporary works; CDM and HSQE; junior engineer training. Acting as the first contact for client technical queries and site teams' technical support.
* Knowledge requirements include design delivery process, project management, company procedures, relevant legislation, design standards, BIM methods, commercial and risk awareness, and contract forms.
* Quality Management - ensuring works are installed to quality standards, preventing rework, and evidencing compliance.
* People Management - building strong relationships, representing the company externally, conducting site audits, inspecting engineering and design compliance, and providing coaching and training.

* Excellent communication and collaboration skills for meetings, presentations, training, and coaching.
* Analytical thinking and organizational skills.
* Familiarity with Business Intelligence reporting, and a passion for Continual Improvement and Customer Satisfaction.
