About the Role
We are working with a leading international engineering and construction company delivering complex infrastructure projects across sectors such as energy, transport, and civil engineering. Known for its focus on technical excellence, safety, and innovation, it operates across global markets on large-scale, multidisciplinary projects. The organisation adopts a collaborative approach, integrating design, engineering, and construction to deliver efficient, high-quality outcomes.
The BIM Coordinator will manage BIM and digital systems and activities, ensuring deliverables are completed in line with agreed scope and programme. The role ensures compliance with industry standards and client requirements, while supporting collaboration, efficiency, and quality across project teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage and implement BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and associated processes
2. Establish and manage the Common Data Environment (CDE) and information systems
3. Ensure compliance with BS EN ISO 19650 and project information requirements
4. Coordinate information delivery in line with project timelines (MIDP)
5. Facilitate communication between client, project teams, and supply chain
6. Develop and manage digital tools and applications to support project delivery
7. Provide training and support to teams on BIM processes and systems
8. Lead clash detection, spatial coordination, and issue resolution activities
9. Monitor and assess team capability to deliver compliant BIM outputs
10. Support development of project standards, methods, and procedures
11. Ensure delivery of the Project Information Model in line with requirements
Experience & Qualifications
Essential
12. Degree in a relevant engineering or technical discipline
13. Minimum 3 years’ experience in construction or infrastructure projects
14. Working knowledge of BS EN ISO 19650
15. Experience with BIM, CAD, and digital engineering tools
16. Understanding of construction methods and project delivery
Desirable
17. BIM qualification or certification
18. CSCS card
19. Experience with tools such as Revit, Navisworks, Solibri
20. Knowledge of Common Data Environments and information management systems
21. Experience with digital tools such as Synchro and Power BI
