Manpower is currently seeking an interim Deodorant Marketing Manager to work with our global FMCG client Unilever, renowned for brands such as Dove, Sure, Persil, and Simple. This role offers the opportunity to become an integral part of their fast-paced FMCG environment.
The position is based in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey. It is a full-time temporary role lasting 6 months, requiring 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Compensation is competitive, up to £85,000 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience.
The role offers a mix of remote and onsite working, subject to business needs.
This opportunity involves working across multiple brands and supporting the team to accelerate innovation and renovation activities across Dove and Sure, the two biggest brands in the category.
This role is suitable for an experienced marketer with strong leadership, commercial, and influencing skills, particularly in the Personal Care category.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the team in delivering and tracking 2025 plans, including new opportunities to achieve P&L ambitions and grow market share.
* Contribute to annual brand planning, working with cross-functional teams (customer, category, supply chain) to develop robust plans for 2026 that drive category growth and P&L targets.
* Collaborate with global teams to shape 2026 activity plans, including innovation, renovation, and communication strategies based on consumer and shopper insights.
* Work with media, agency partners, and global teams to develop social-first plans for 2026, aiming to create desire at scale by positioning our brands at the heart of culture relevant to consumers.
* Own the planning and execution of specific projects within Dove and Sure plans to contribute to overall category growth.
* Lead quarterly reviews of brand performance and develop action plans to address key drivers.
* Support the Deodorant category director with business reviews, customer presentations, and trade PR activities.
* Be an active member of the Deodorant team, contributing to category discussions, mentoring team members, and promoting a high-performance culture.
Key Requirements
* Proven leadership and marketing skills in FMCG or retail marketing within the UK market.
* Strong commercial understanding, creativity, and the ability to lead agencies and partners to deliver impactful consumer experiences using insights and social media strategies.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, creativity, entrepreneurial spirit, and project management experience. Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines and influence others.
