Senior Administrator – Child and Family Health Devon (CFHD)
Location: Honeylands Specialist Children’s Assessment Centre, Pinhoe Road, EXETER, EX4 8QP
Employment type: Permanent Part‑time (22.5 hrs per week)
Band: 3 – Salary: £24,937 – £26,598 per year (pro‑rata)
Role Overview
You will provide secretarial, administrative and organisational support across the full range of office and service activities. Key responsibilities include managing the reception and office space, greeting families, processing referrals and paperwork, maintaining caseloads, and supporting clinicians with clinic planning and general administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
* Provide excellent customer service by responding to face‑to‑face and incoming telephone queries in a timely and accurate manner.
* Perform general administrative tasks, including electronic and paper file preparation.
* Assist with reporting and data compilation.
* Produce letters and reports.
* Process incoming correspondence.
* Support clinical team members as required.
* Manage diaries for clinicians.
Qualifications and Experience
* Essential: Computer literate; good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); at least 1 year of clerical, administrative or reception experience; general education (e.g., GCSEs or equivalent).
* Desirable: 2 years of clerical/administrative experience, preferably in a customer‑care, healthcare, education or social‑care setting; NVQ level 3 Business Administration or equivalent.
Knowledge & Skills
* Good understanding of office procedures.
* Willingness to undertake training relevant to the post.
