Job Description
This role will likely have the following responsibilities:Key Tasks
3. Full ownership of the monthly management accounting cycle for the company reporting to the directors.
4. Preparation of the year end accounting pack and liaising with auditors.
5. Completion and filing of VAT returns.
6. Develop systems and process controls to provide robust control environment as per the needs of the company.
7. Generate sales invoices and recording receipts as necessary.
8. Controlling and analysing the purchases and making payments to Suppliers.
9. Managing creditors, and payment priorities.
10. Reconciling bank statements to Xero accounts regularly.
11. People Management Coach and develop the team members.
12. Oversee the payroll function.
13. Overseeing the payrolling of benefits.
14. Completion of the year end payroll documentation.
15. Dealing with any HMRC enquiries.
16. Undertaking of basic processing tasks as required.
Supplementary Tasks
17. Oversee the day to day running of the office.
18. Providing training and support for staff members.
19. Liaise with area managers to assist with the day to day running of the business.
20. Involvement with directors
The Successful Applicant
A successful Financial Controller should have:
21. A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or ACA).
22. Self-motivated and proactive.
23. Strong interpersonal skills.
24. Ability to work unsupervised whilst following company procedures.
25. Good organisational skills and time management.
26. Proven experience of managing a team within a busy operation.
27. Has a strong drive for personal development and learning.
28. The ability to build long-term relationships with staff, suppliers and professional partners.
What's on Offer
This role will offer a competitive salary between £60,000-£65,000 DOE plus benefits.
