POSITION
EYFS Assistant Headteacher

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS
· Location – Tooting, South West London
· Position – EYFS Assistant Headteacher
· Type of work – Leadership and class-based teaching – including strategic oversight of the EYFS phase, supporting curriculum development, leading staff, monitoring teaching & learning, and carrying out class teacher responsibilities (planning, preparation, assessment, and parent engagement).
· Start date – 5th January 2026
· End date – July 2026 with a view to extend to the end of academic year 2026/27
· Contract type – Temporary
· Full time/part time – Full time
· Rate Of Pay: LGPS (dependent on experience)
· Hours – 8:00am – 16:00pm : Mon – Fri (term time only)
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
· Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in EYFS / KS1
· DBS on the Update Service
· Strong knowledge of the EYFS Framework, National Curriculum, and effective assessment practices.
· Proven ability to deliver high-quality teaching that promotes progress and inclusion for all pupils.
· Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
· Commitment to safeguarding, well-being, and continuous professional development.
· Collaborative, reflective, and passionate about providing the best start to every childs education
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
· Hold Right to Work in the UK
· Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
· Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
