THE ROLE
To grow and service your business; win new work, find opportunities in the market and develop relationships with your customers, hauliers and suppliers to achieve maximum orders in both volume and profit.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
This is an important role within GRS, with primary responsibility to:
* Situation solving, be proactive and capable of understanding issues and resolving.
* Thrive in challenging situations and enjoy working within deadlines.
* Responsibility for the gross trading margin performance of the region.
* To work with the director to set the budgets for the year.
* Managing and leading the commercial team within the region, driving and exceeding budgets with a Can-do attitude.
* Developing and creating an energetic trading environment for the team to grow and progress with 1to1 plans for all.
* Working with the internal business partners across all aspects of the business, HSEQ, HR, People, Finance, Shared Services.
* Delivering a supplier Strategy alongside the Director.
* Recruiting/inducting and retaining the next grs talent.
* Admin responsibilities for all aspects of the business from Supplier quotes being correct, Data entered into systems and Purchase orders.
* Ensuring that there are fun activities delivered and entertaining our team, customers and suppliers outside working hours.
* Responsibility for compliance and discharging legal duties with regards to HR and Health & Safety to promote a safe, equitable and legally compliant workplace.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
* Must have a full UK Driving License (Essential).
* Experience managing internal and external sales staff (Essential).
* External Sales / Field Sales Experience (Desirable).
* Broad product range knowledge - Aggregates and Waste Removal (Desirable).
