Description
As a Litigated Credit Hire Specialist at Keoghs, you'll be part of a team dedicated to representing clients' interests in high-stakes credit hire cases.
This role provides an excellent opportunity to investigate complex litigated credit hire claims from both tactical and strategic perspectives. The File Handler will conduct detailed and technical investigations on claims submitted by specific opponents, with claim values up to £25,000.

Key Accountabilities
The role involves managing a caseload of DA credit hire & injury files under the supervision of the Team Leader. You will handle files from the point of litigation through to court conclusion, requiring comprehensive knowledge of RTA claims handling.
Main responsibilities include:
* Reviewing and analyzing files throughout their lifecycle in accordance with client guidelines
* Developing and maintaining client relationships
* Formulating initial strategies for approval
* Conducting legal research
* Negotiating via telephone with third-party solicitors
* Communicating with insured parties and insurers as needed
* Completing tasks in the Case Management System
* Processing bills and managing information in compliance with ISO 9001 standards
* Ensuring adherence to SRA Standards & Regulations
* Working within a target-driven environment
* Understanding court procedures, including drafting defenses, handling disclosure, instructing counsel, and preparing legal documents such as CPR Part 18 and 35 questions, and counter schedules
Working Hours
35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with 1 hour for lunch.
Experience, Skills, and Qualifications
Essential:
* Experience in litigation and managing Credit Hire files
* At least 5 GCSEs or equivalent; a degree or LPC is preferred
* Initiative and ability to prioritize
* Excellent listening and communication skills
* Negotiation skills
* Ability to follow processes and strategies
* Sensitivity and tact in communication
* Decision-making ability
* Calmness under pressure
* Proficiency in Word, Outlook, and Case Management Systems
Desirable:
* Experience handling PI claims
