GE Vernova has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager - Grid Automation to join our team in Stafford on a hybrid basis.
As the Grid Automation PM, you will be responsible for planning, managing, and delivering projects from transfer through to Provisional Acceptance Certificate (PAC), ensuring high customer satisfaction and maximum value.
You will be expected to deliver projects considering financial and operational aspects such as budget, technical & contractual scopes, resources, and execution planning.
You will also be responsible for safety, quality, risk, and opportunity management to ensure customer satisfaction internally and externally.
A successful PM is expected to manage a portfolio of 6-8 active projects including CCS & DCS (Protection & Controls) Systems & Services + Loose Products, with an annual sales volume of 6 to 10 M$.
Major Responsibilities:
1. Follow project management best practices, including transfer review, project gates reviews, and project close-out.
2. Contribute to operational performance with accurate financial KPIs: Sales, Cash, & Contribution Margin.
3. Manage project execution from tender to warranty end, including FAT, delivery, and commissioning.
4. Act as the prime customer contact for contract execution.
5. Ensure commitments are met with clear feedback through customer interactions.
6. Collaborate with engineering, logistics, sourcing, procurement, and finance teams.
7. Provide monthly updates on action plan progress and sales/cash forecasts.
8. Prepare and present project reviews.
9. Maintain comprehensive project documentation.
10. Manage resource planning to ensure a billable ratio of 90% or above.
11. Contribute to operational department development and continuous improvement.
12. Lead EHS/Safety initiatives, ensuring compliance with GE rules and proper training.
13. Follow GE Vernova's compliance policies and promote open reporting.
14. Support commercial teams with insights to optimize costs and delivery.
15. Exhibit GE Vernova’s leadership behaviors.
Qualifications / Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronic engineering.
2. Business/industry knowledge.
3. Experience in project management, preferably within T&D Industry.
4. Ability to manage and motivate a project team of 3-6 people.
5. Some travel (10-20%).
Desired Characteristics:
1. Experience in T&D + Grid Automation activities is a plus.
2. Background in T&D and Automation (Protection & Controls).
3. Strong business acumen and execution focus.
4. High energy and positive attitude towards operational challenges.
5. Proactive with a can-do attitude.
