Deputy Manager – Saint Cecilia’s Care Home, Scarborough
Full-time | 40 hours per week
£14.21 per hour (equivalent to £29,556.80 based on 40hrs a week)

Saint Cecilia’s Care Home is a specialist dementia care home in Scarborough, known for its warm, person-centered approach and active and involved resident life. We’re looking for a Deputy Manager to support our Registered Manager in leading a dedicated team and ensuring the highest standards of care.

What our management team are looking for
Strong knowledge of dementia care and behaviours that challenge
Familiarity with CQC standards, safeguarding, and health & safety regulations
Ability to lead shifts, mentor staff, and maintain high standards of care
Emotionally strong, trustworthy, and committed
Able to respond to changing needs, emergencies, and team dynamics
Flexible, adaptable, and confident in decision-making
Key Responsibilities
* Support and deputise for the Registered Manager
* Lead by example across both office-based and floor-based duties
* Oversee rotas, staff supervision, and care planning
* Promote a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for residents and staff
Qualifications & Experience
* Supervisory or management qualification (or working towards)
* Experience in dementia care and team leadership
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Medication management
* Care Planning
* Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Level 4 or 5 desirable, or willing to work towards)
