Residential Building Surveyor (RICS) – Billericay, CM12
An great opportunity has arisen for a Residential Building Surveyor to join our client based in both in our office in Billericay, CM12. This role would be ideally suited to someone with strong practical experience in a similar role and looking to take the next step in their career.
Responsibilities include but will not be limited to
* Undertaking all aspect of professional building surveyor works including Section 20 contracts in accordance with current legislation
* Completion of Asbestos reports and reviews.
* BCIS rebuilding valuations.
* Implementation of CDM regulations where required.
* Inspection of and advising on Licenses to alter and consents due under the lease terms.
* Acting for Clients on Party Wall matters.
* Writing of schedules of work and defect reports.
* Planned maintenance programming.
* Attend AGMs as necessary
* Reporting to clients’ and lessees on active projects and caseload.
* Supporting junior member of staff with Surveying knowledge.
* Using a range of software, including email, spreadsheets and Qube databases, to ensure the efficient organisation of project diaries.
* Producing reports for senior management on current workload and projected fee earning.
The Successful Applicant will need to possess the following skills
* 5+ years relevant experience
* MRICS qualified preferred but not essential
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills
* Strong IT skills
* Excellent presenting, communication and report writing skills.
* The ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure
* The ability to manage your workload.
* Negotiation and relationship-building skills
* Good attention to detail
* Flexibility and adaptability to changing workloads
* A self‑motivated and problem‑solving approach to work
The hours will be 9.00am to 5.30pm
Salary range will be £55,000 to £65,000 per annum.
