Overview
We are looking for an ambitious registered dietitian (HCPC) or registered nutritionist (AfN) with managerial experience to join Second Nature, a UK health‑tech startup.
As a Health Coach Manager, you will lead a high‑performing remote team of dietitians and nutritionists, support our digital health‑coaching programmes, and maintain clinical quality.
Responsibilities
* Lead, develop, and manage a remote team of dietitians and nutritionists to deliver world‑class health coaching.
* Manage competing priorities, team performance, and service delivery, ensuring outcomes meet clinical standards.
* Provide hands‑on coaching for a small caseload via digital delivery and support members across various programmes.
* Collaborate closely with health coaches, health‑coach managers, and cross‑functional teams (product, engineering, NHS, partnerships).
* Advocate for clinically appropriate decisions and best practice for obesity and type 2 diabetes care.
* Use internal quality monitoring measures to drive continuous improvement in health‑coaching delivery.
* Recruit, train, and support professional development of the coaching team.
* Maintain documentation and reporting to leadership on performance and outcomes.
Qualifications
* Current HCPC registered dietitian or AfN registered nutritionist.
* Minimum 3 years of direct people‑management experience.
* Clinical experience supporting patients on weight‑loss injectables and habit‑change programmes.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Strategic thinking and ability to improve health‑coaching operations and service delivery.
* Excellent organisational, time‑management, and multitasking skills.
* Tech‑competence and comfortable working autonomously with digital tools.
* Availability to work 5 days per week, 40 hours per week.
Nice to Have
* Experience working in a startup environment.
* Experience applying behavioural‑change techniques (NLP, CBT) to support health and wellbeing.
* Previous work with people living with type 2 diabetes.
* CPD budget or commitment to continuing professional development.
* Flexible working hours and autonomy over workload.
Working Conditions
* Hybrid model: occasional office visits (at least once per month) and 1–2 days per week in London; remainder remote.
