Job Title: Maintenance Engineer
Salary: £40,000 £45,000 per year
Location: Farnham
Job Type: Permanent
Were looking for a versatile and skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a busy engineering environment. Youll play a key role in keeping production equipment and CNC machinery running smoothly across multiple local sites, while also handling general facilities maintenance and PLC fault finding.
As a Maintenance Engineer your duties will include:
* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on CNC machines and other production equipment
* Diagnose and resolve technical issues to minimise downtime
* Implement preventive maintenance plans and keep accurate records
* Undertake basic building maintenance (electrical, HVAC, plumbing)
* Work on PLC fault finding and control systems
* Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
* Liaise with external contractors for specialist repairs
The successful Maintenance Engineer will ideally have the below skills & experience:
* Time-served apprenticeship and HNC (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline
* Proven experience maintaining CNC machinery and production equipment
* Strong PLC fault-finding skills
* Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
* Good problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
* Driving licence (essential)
