Are you a passionate, motivated and talented teacher looking to join a collaborative team?
We are seeking to establish a pool for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2024 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2024 school year.
Suitable applicants will ideally be passionate educators, committed to improving literacy and numeracy outcomes for every student, and making a difference in the lives of the young people of our town. You will have excellent interpersonal skills in order to develop effective relationships with students, staff, parents and the community.
Applicants should ideally possess a strong capacity to plan challenging and engaging programs using an excellent understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum. All teachers at Cranbrook PS utilise quality teaching strategies including goal setting, daily reviews/warm ups, the gradual release model of explicit instruction, and feedback in delivering a differentiated curriculum across a multi-age group setting catering for students of a range of abilities.
We are seeking applicants who are innovative and possess high quality teaching skills and knowledge. They will be committed to ongoing professional growth and development, support current whole school processes and be collegial, effective collaborators whilst providing engaging learning experiences that cater for different student learning needs.
Cranbrook PS is situated in the rural town of Cranbrook, in the Great Southern region of Western Australia. The school was opened in 1893 and officially become an Independent Public School in 2018.
Cranbrook is located three hours drive south of Armadale, and one hour north of Albany. The major industry in the area is agriculture.
The school is a vibrant place, with a warm and caring school community. A major focus is placed on positive relationships, the development of positive values, and the wellbeing of all members.
Vacancies may arise during the life of this pool that require specialist qualifications (for example vacancies within Early Childhood Education). Only applicants, in the pool, possessing the required qualifications will be considered for appointment in these circumstances.

13. complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement; and
14. complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
