A specialist electronic wiring sub-contractor is seeking an experienced Wire Person / Fitter to join their team in Newhaven. The ideal candidate will have experience in cable assemblies, cable looms, panel wiring, and mechanical fitting.
Key Responsibilities:
Work as a Wire Person / Fitter, assembling and wiring electrical components.
Read and interpret engineering drawings/schematics, identifying any build issues.
Test and inspect completed work to ensure high standards.
Fit and assemble mechanical components, ensuring correct alignment and functionality.
Carry out basic mechanical modifications and installations.
Work independently or as part of a team to meet production deadlines.
Requirements:
Proven Wire Person / Fitter experience.
Ability to follow technical drawings with attention to detail.
Experience with hand tools for mechanical assembly.
Strong communication skills and a flexible approach.
Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 8:30 am 5:00 pm
Friday: 8:30 am 4:30 pm (37.5 hours per week)
