Kitchen Porter
Wooler, Northumberland
£12.30 per hour
What is the Ad Gefrin experience?
Ad Gefrin is an Anglo-Saxon Museum and Whisky Distillery based in a state-of-the-art building within the rural market town of Wooler at the foot of the Cheviot Hills. This is a unique business model, whereby the two halves – the Visitor Experience and the Distillery – are wholly intertwined and mutually supportive. The Museum will encompass an immersive AV museum interpretation that will bring to life the 7th century Royal Court of Northumbria' s Golden Age through the different characters that occupied it, as well as displaying significant artefacts discovered on the original archaeological site and borrowed from national museum collections. Celebrating how important the landscape was then and now, the Museum will also be the stepping off point for our whisky journey, Distillery tours and tastings. There will also be a Bistro, Private Dining Room, a shop showcasing the highest quality giftware (as well as our spirits, of course) and landscaped grounds.
