Job Overview
We are seeking a Estate Manager to oversee the maintenance of our buildings, grounds, and facilities, ensuring that everything runs seamlessly and remains fully compliant with all legal and safety standards. You will play a critical role in upholding our reputation, working to ensure that the estate not only meets but exceeds guest expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the maintenance, engineering, and gardening teams, ensuring exceptional upkeep of buildings, grounds, and guest facilities.
* Ensure full compliance with health & safety, fire safety, environmental, and other statutory regulations.
* Oversee planned preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules and respond effectively to reactive maintenance needs.
* Maintain the aesthetic quality of gardens and landscaped areas, working closely with specialist contractors where necessary.
* Manage budgets, contractors, and procurement to deliver cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
* Conduct regular inspections of the estate to ensure impeccable presentation and operational excellence.
* Collaborate closely with hotel management to support guest satisfaction and smooth daily operations.
About You
Proven experience as an Estate Manager, Chief Engineer, Facilities Manager, or similar role within a luxury hospitality, heritage property, or high-end estate environment.
* Strong knowledge of building services, M&E systems, and grounds management.
* Excellent understanding of statutory compliance, health & safety legislation, and risk management.
* A hands-on leader who can motivate and develop teams while managing contractors effectively.
* Commercially astute with budget management experience.
* Committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences through operational excellence.
