Job Description
* Phlebotomy including patients under 16 years if parents give permission and the patient is willing.
* B12 injections
* Smoking Cessation advice
* ECG recording
* BP checks
* Assisting GPs in the provision of equipment for minor operations procedures
* Chaperoning duties
* Processing and management of laboratory samples requested by GPs/Nurses
* Vaccine/cold chain storage, monitoring and recording
* Preparing and maintaining environments and equipment before, during and after patient care interventions including assisting GPs during the performance of minor operations
* Assisting in the assessment and surveillance of patients health and well-being
* Helping to raise awareness of health and well-being and how it can be promoted
* Assisting with the collection and collation of data on needs related to health and well-being
* Undertaking NHS health checks
* Dressings, compression and minor wound care
* Suture removal and staples
* Diabetic checks
Qualifications
Essential
* Recognised or transferable training in Phlebotomy and/or Venipuncture.
* A demonstrable passion to support patients in their journey to get better.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in maintaining patient records and documentation.
Desirable
* Previous experience in a busy healthcare setting.
* Knowledge of medical terminology to facilitate effective communication within the healthcare team.
